Dragon baby
I have used part of a digi from Dragons Lair Designs to create this quick card. I coloured the image using Promarkers, cut it out using a Spellbinders circle die and then matted and layered it onto blue core'dinations cardstock and green mirri card both cut out using a Spellbinders classic scalloped circle die. The design paper is from DCWV and I matted it onto brown card.

Never too old for love
I could not resist this old gentleman and I thought it would make a good Valentine card for the older generation! The stamp is 'Old Calvins flower surprise' from Make It Crafty and after stamping it onto watercolour card I coloured it using Derwent watercolour pencils. I then matted it onto black card. The background papers are green card and red Bazzill Basics paper and the sentiment was cut using Tattered Lace dies.

April Showers
The new challenge at Crafty Cardmakers and More would like you to combine two or more stamps in your creation.
I have used stamps from Jayne Nestorenko's Adorable summer collection called 'April showers'. I began by stamping the little girl with her umbrella. I then masked this and stamped the steps behind her. Using one of the little stamps in the set I stamped the cobbles and raindrop. I then used the corner stamp twice. The whole design was coloured using Promarkers and then matted and layered onto mirri card and white card. I finished the card with a sentiment from the same set.
I would like to enter this into the following challenges:

Flower heart
We have the start of another challenge at Eureka Stamps. The theme this week is hearts. I have used digi number 3605 (heart flower wreath) and inserted the digi sentiment number 35801 (we can do no great) into the center of it. After colouring it using Promarkers I drew a heart shape round it and cut it out.
I matted pink centura pearl card onto mauve core'dinations cardstock and wrapped three rows of narrow satin ribbon round it, after which I matted it onto white card. After fixing the coloured image onto the card I outlined it with mauve peel off strips. Three quilled flowers were then fixed to the rows of ribbon and finally I added a bow.

Boy fishing
It's Saturday and we are at the mid point of another challenge at Send A Smile 4 Kids, the theme of which is 'Anything goes 4 kids'. I am honoured to have been asked to join this team as a design member.
There are three very generous sponsors for the challenge: Digi Stamps 4 Joy ($10 gift certificate), Whimsy Stamps ($15 gift Certificate) and
The Cutting Cafe (3 sets digis or cutting files)
I have used the digi stamp 'Caught one!' from Digi Stamps 4 Joy. I coloured it using
Promarkers and then cut it out leaving a small border round the edge of the image.
I matted the fish paper printed using the La Pashe CD ROM 'Something for everyone' onto
core'dinations cardstock and added a strip printed from one of the Beatrix Potter CD ROMS
from Crafter's Companion. I attached this to the lower half of the white card. I then attached
the previously coloured image to the card using different depth foam pads (smaller depth for
the part on top of the layered papers).
The large letters were cut using the Sizzix set of dies called 'Boys will be boys' and the smaller
lettering were cut using Tattered Lace 'Elegant alphabet' dies.

Red rose
We have the start of another challenge at Eureka Stamps. The theme this week is the colour red. I have used digi number 20901 (rose) and coloured it using Promarkers. I cut it out using a Spellbinders label 4 die and whilst it was still in the die dusted the edges using distress ink. I drew round the outside of the die on red mirri card and cut it out to use as a matting for the image.
I reduced the flower head and repeated it to create a strip of roses. Again I coloured them in the same way and matted it onto red mirri card.
I dusted the edges of a rectangular piece of white card with distress ink and wrapped a ribbon from a past Christmas card around the bottom of it before matting it onto textured red card.
I attached the main image using double sided tape and the strip using foam pads to create a variation in depth.

Anyone for hockey?
Time for another challenge at Creative Corner. The theme this week is sports fun and is being sponsored by Kenny K, so come and join in the fun.
I have used Kenny K's image Anime hockey and coloured it using Promarkers. I cut it out using a Spellbinders circle die placing the cut around hockey stick over the die. I cut a scalloped circle ring from black mirri card using Spellbinders dies and placed the coloured image behind it with the hockey stick over the edge as I wanted to give the impression of the player coming towards the viewer.
I wrapped black ribbon round the papers from Wild Rose Studio's 'For Men' paper stack and matted and layered them onto black mirri and white card. I then added a bow and a sentiment.

Bunches of love
This is another stamp that I have recently bought. This one called 'Bunches of Love' is from Crafter's Companion Bebunni floral collection. I coloured it using Promarkers with the addition of a Sakura glaze gel pen for the centre of the small flowers and a Sakura stardust gel pen for the spots on the flower wrapping.
I then matted and layered it onto pink core'dinations cardstock and white card. I used the Tattered Lace die Krystal to cut small flowers from centura pearl card. These I coloured using Promarkers pens and added liquid pearl to the centre of each. I glued them randomly to the lower half of the card.
The sentiment was from the same set of stamps and was matted onto core'dinations cardstock. I fixed it to the card using foam pads and then arranged a quilled flower and Tattered Lace foliage at the top of it.

Another birthday
I have often looked at the stamps from Acid Drops and Whatnots. As their description says they depict 'life but from a slightly different angle' and I think that the images and sentiments require little being added to them so they lend themselves to making some quick cards.. This one from the 'Do Come Again' set I could nolonger resist buying.
I matted white card onto black card and fixed two rows of black ribbon round it before matting onto a further piece of white card. The image was coloured using Promarkers and after matting it onto black card I attached it using foam pads. The two corners were stamp in black ink using a stamp from the set. The sentiment, also from the same set was stamped onto white card and matted onto black. Finally I added a bow to the lower of the two ribbon bands.

Blue Tit
There is a new challenge at Crafty Cardmakers and More, the theme of which is 'something old, something new'. I hope you will be able to join us.
I have chosen to use an old favourite stamp, Jayne Netley Mayhew's blue tit from Joanna Sheen, but I have tried a new technique - that of colouring using water colour pencils. After colouring and allowing the image to dry I cut it out and shaped it slightly.
I matted and layered paper printed using a House Mouse CD ROM (another old favourite) from Joanna Sheen onto pink mirri card and white card. I then matted white card onto pink mirri card, both cut out using Spellbinders dies, attached it to the card and then fixed the image to the circle using glue gel.
I used a die from a new set of Tattered Lace dies called starlight circle to cut two floral pieces from a hint of silver centura pearl card. I coloured these pieces using Promarkers before fixing them to the edge of the circle. Finally using Tattered Lace dies I cut a sentiment from the pink mirri card.

Snow church
Today we have another challenge at Eureka Stamps the theme of which is 'Baby, it's cold outside'.
I have used digi stamp number 26801, snow church, printing it out in grey and used Promarkers to colour it, using a Sakura glaze gel pen on the church windows and a Sakura white pen on some of the snow. I also added Stickles to the mountain snow where I thought the sun might be catching it. I then used one strand of embroidery thread together with silver metallic thread to embroider the twigs on the trees. (the metallic thread doesn't show up that well in the photo). When completed I coloured some of the thread using a Promarker pen.
I cut the finished image out leaving a thin narrow border and mattered and layered it onto black and then silver card. Using a Spellbinders floral doily accent die I cut out black card which I stuck onto white card and cut around. After attaching a silver peel off sentiment to it I fixed it to the card using foam pads.

Snowman circle
It's Monday and time for another challenge at Eureka Stamps. This week the theme is 'snowman/snowflakes'. I have used digi 23402 - Snowman circle.
I began by making the easel card using a Spellbinders grand big scalloped circle die to create the shape. I used this shape for all the layers of the card in some cases trimming the card after it had been cut using a die. On the base of easel card I matted card from Core'dinations core impressions classic Christmas collection having first distressed it and wrapped organza ribbon round it. I then added a bow to it and three snowflakes cut from core'dinations cardstock using Spellbinders create a flake set 3 dies and glittered. Two of these snowflakes act as the easel stop.
The digi image was coloured using Promarkers and I added Stickles to the snowman and the snowflakes around the edge of the design. I then matted it onto core'dinations cardstock before attaching it to the top half of the easel card.

Elephant Love
Wishing everyone a very happy and crafty New Year.
The theme for the challenge this week at Creative Corner is 'Be Mine' and is being sponsored by Bugaboo Digi Stamps. This image is called Edward Valentine.
I began by matting and layering deep pink core'dinations cardstock onto grey core'dinations and then white card. I coloured the image using Promarkers and then matted and layered it onto pale pink core'dinations cardstock and then grey.
From the pale pink Core'dinations cardstock I cut a design using the deco heart die from Tattered Lace. I cut into this to produce the smaller heart which I matted onto grey core'dinations and two flourishes which I arranged at the top of the card. The wording was also cut from core'dinations cardstock using Tattered Lace dies.
