Easter bunny
Well, I thought I had better get at least one Easter card made this week. This one, with the bunny hiding amongst the daffodils, is for my step-daughter and her family - I think her three girls will appreciate the mini eggs especially if the card is accompanied by the genuine article!
The daffodil and tulip background paper for this card is printed from Jane Shasky's CD ROM 'From the heart of the garden' and I used gold peel offs to border it. The strip of eggs is stamped using one of the mini stamps in the Happy Hoppers set of House Mouse design stamps from Joanna Sheen and are coloured using Promarkers. Again I used gold peel offs to border the strip.
The rabbit in the basket is stamped using a stamp from the same set and after colouring it I cut it out, shaped it slightly and stuck it to the card with glue gel. The daffodils were stamped using the daffodil script set from Chocolate Baroque and were again coloured using Promarkers, cut out and shaped and applied to the card with glue gel.

Blue for a boy
What male does not like cake? Here is a naughty mouse (it can only be a boy!) jumping on a cake while another one looks on. The House Mouse stamp, called 'cupcake jump', was coloured using Promarkers and matted onto patterned paper from Papermania. Papers from the same pack were used for the background matting and layering and for the horizontal strip and sentiment. Having attached the main image to the card I stamped, coloured and cut out a mouse from another set of stamps and placed him so that he was peering over the edge of the card. I finished the card by attaching several card candies to it.

Pink for a girl
This is the last of the baby cards I was making for my nieces. I began by sticking two different coloured pieces of tissue paper onto white card to create the colour used on the stamped image. On top of this I attached white pre die cut card and trimmed the edges with pink glitter peel off.
The image, called cosy pram, from Lili of the Valley was coloured using Promarkers and a silver gel pen (for the metal on the pram) and matted onto pink mirri card cut out using a Spellbenders scalloped oval die. I then made little pink bows from satin ribbon and attached these randomly to the base of the hearts.

For mum
This week at Creative Corner the challenge is ‘texture’, so I have used as many different textures as I can on this card.
I began by
embossing deep pink core’dinations cardstock using Die’sire’s make a wish
folder and then sanded it. I wrapped
lace round the bottom half of this and
then matted it onto white card. After dusting a heart shaped doily with
distress ink I attached it to the top left hand corner.
The image from Lili
of the Valley called ‘Teddy – for mum’ was coloured using Promarkers . I then
applied glossy accents to the two ‘M’ shaped balloons. This was then matted and
layered onto pink mirri card and pink Glitter Silk cardstock.
Finally I coloured
a flower from Petaloo with Promarkers and attached it to the corner of the
image gluing a card candi into the centre.

April showers
I have several birthdays coming up next month, so I'm starting to make the cards now. I embossed the pink core'dinations cardstock using the Die'sire butterfly swirl corner embossalicious folder. I then sanded it and applied glitter to the embossed design. This was then matted and layered onto blue core'dinations cardstock and white card.
The stamped image is from Joanna Sheen's spring set of House Mouse Designs stamps. I coloured it using Promarkers, applied glossy accents to the raindrops and then dusted the background with distress ink. After fixing it to the card I attached strips of green peel offs to the edges of the image.
To finish the card I added square gems and a peel off sentiment.

Old and new
I recently bought the Tattered Lace oriental fan die and thought I'd better use it!. I cut the fan shape out from Neenah paper and stamped three butterflies, using an old stamp I had from one of Jayne Netley Mayhew's collection. These I coloured using Promarkers. I also stamped, coloured and cut out a fourth butterfly. The Neenah paper was then matted and layered onto black mirri card and white card. I cut a second fan from red card and glued this into the fan shape cut previously. Stickles was applied to the holes in the edge of the fan and in the base of the fan. The fourth butterfly was then attached to the fan. Finally a peel off sentiment was added.

Little moments
This cute Di's Digi Stamp is called 'Bear in the window' and I have coloured it using Promarkers - amazing the different shades of green you can get! The edges were dusted with distress ink. I then matted it onto dark green miiri card, added glitter to the bee's wings and area behind the bear and then attached a card candi in each corner.
I embossed the green core'dinations card stock using Sheena Douglas' wood panel folder and sanded it. This was then matted and layered onto dark green mirri card and white card. The doily was coloured with distress ink. To achieve the mottled effect I then pushed different parts of the doily into the ink pad. The butterfly was made from core'dination cardstock. Finally I matted the stamped sentiment onto dark green mirri card.

Footballer
With hubby pronounced medically unfit to drive for 2 years I am having to do all the driving for the family. Oh my! I didn't realise just how much driving he did. It's not leaving me much time for card making, I'm having to make some quick ones. This is another card to use up some of those scraps of paper that we all seem to accumulate or as my daughter says " That pile just grows even when you say you are using it up!".
I matted and layered the football paper and blue mirri card onto white card. The strip of brown paper was also matted onto blue mirri card. Both the image and the sentiment are stamped from the Docrafts Papermania nostalgia pastimes set, the former being coloured using Promarkers. Both were matted onto yet more blue mirri card, this time cut out using Spellbinders scalloped oval dies.

Letters for you
I don't think I have made a card with so many layers before, but it made use of papers that I had lying about for some time. I matted and layered flowery paper, mauve mirri card, green core'dinations cardstock, green mirri card and white card. A strip of lilac striped paper was matted onto mauve mirri card and attached horizontally to the card. I coloured a doily with distress inks and attached the centre of it to the card.
The image, printed from the Daisy and Friends CD ROM, was coloured using Promarkers and the edges dusted with distress inks. I then matted this onto lilac mirri card and attached it to the card with foam pads.
The punched flowers were made from Core'dinations cardstock with a gem in the centre of each of the smaller flowers and a card candi in the centre of the large one. I finished the card with a peel off sentiment.

Sweets and lollipops!
Over at the Creative Corner this week we have a 'Buttons Up!' challenge and are being sponsored by Meljen's Designs. The digi image I chose is called 'candy land dreams' and I coloured it using Promarkers. The design is a little different from my usual choice, but I thought my youngest grand daughter, whose birthday is in a few days time, would appreciate the lollipops!
I wrapped ribbon around designer paper that I have had for some years now and matted and layered it onto green core'dinations cardstock and white card. The image is attached to the card using several foam pads piled up to a height of 5mm to make it really stand off the card. There were crosses on the cloud in which the lollipops are stuck so I glued a variety of buttons to these. Finally I added a bow and a peel off sentiment to the ribbon strip.
I would also like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Spring birthday
March is full of female birthdays in my family. I thought that I would try something a little different and make a card without using any designer paper. I have had a stamp from Elusive Images (now known as Chocolate Baroque) for some time and never used it. It is from the daffodil script set. I used it to stamp daffodils randomly over white card and then coloured the images using Derwent Coloursoft pencils. I then attached two horizontal strips of shiny green stripes to the card.
The main image is from Joanna Sheen's House Mouse Designs spring set of stamps and is a favourite of mine. I used Promarkers to colour this and then dusted the edges with distress inks, matted it onto yellow gold mirri card and glittered the falling rain drops.
The peel off sentiment was adhered to green mirri card which was mattered onto yellow gold mirri card.

Painting
A friend of my husband has help us out on many occasions when we have been in need of help with DIY, so this is a birthday card for him.
I stamped the image 'lick of paint' from Lili of the Valley onto white card and coloured it using Promarkers. Having sanded the edges I coloured them using distress inks and then ran an ink pad along the edges before attaching the design to a blank card. The words were cut from mirri card using Tattered Lace dies.

Terracotta love
It is one of my step daughter's wedding anniversary on Tuesday, but as I have been spending a large amount of time visiting my husband in hospital I had to make a fairly quick card. This is the result. I like the cute cats and thought the image lent itself well to a monochromatic look.
I matted and layered a square of designer paper from Kanban Crafts and mirri card onto white card. I then cut a strip of paper and die cut the daisy design, to tie in with the daisy in the image, using a Spellbinders die from the classic ric rac set. Having mounted it onto mirri card I fixed it to the lower half of the card.
The stamped image from Lili of the Valley called 'Pots of love' was coloured using Promarkers. I dusted the edges with distress inks and then matted it onto mirri card. I applied glossy accents to the noses of the cats and Stickles glitter glue to the flower pot and flower centre of the image and to the centres of the daisies in the border strip. I then glittered the sentiment in the image.
Finally I added the happy anniversary sentiment.
