Field of flowers

Rainbow girl

 

   Using a circle die I created a circle easel card. I cut four different coloured circles and layered them on the front of the easel card. I then layered the waste and attached these to the easel base. Using smaller circles I layered these,attaching a peel off sentiment, to form the easel stopper. The digi image, coloured using Promarkers, on the front of the card is 'Rainbow girl' from All Dressed Up. Lastly I added some loose glitter to the fairy wings.

Piggy back

   The digi image on this card is from All Dressed Up. It is called 'Piggy back' and I have coloured it using Promarkers. The spotty background paper is from an old paper pad free with a magazine and has been in my stash for several years. I matted and layered it onto black and then cream card. The bow is also made from ribbon which came from an old magazine. The sentiment was cut from black card using a Tattered Lace die and matted onto cream card.

Hello squirrel

    I am delighted to have been asked to be a guest designer for Penny's Paper-Crafty challenge this fortnight. One of the sponsor's for the challenge is All Dressed Up and I have used their image called 'Hello squirrel'

    I coloured the image using Promarkers. The surrounding frame and die cut corners were cut using dies from Carnation Crafts wreath card set. I also used dies from their Just to say bouquet collection to cut the flower embellishments some of which were coloured using Promarkers and others making use of their downloadable vignettes. The sentiment was cut using a Tattered Lace die.

My best friend

   This is a card I have made for The Outlawz progressive challenge using All Dressed Up's digi called My best friend. I coloured it using Promarkers and matted it onto a brown oval card cut using a Tattered Lace die. The plaid paper is a piece left over from an old Lili of the Valley paper pad and the paws CD ROM printed paper was a scrap from my stash. I matted and layered these onto pale yellow paper and white card and glued a strip of the pale yellow paperover the join of the two design papers.
   The sentiment was cut using a die from one of tattered Lace's magazines and I finished the card with three card candi.

Love is ...

   I have used their digi called Love is, coloured it using Promarkers, cut it out using a Tattered Lace heart die and matted the image onto deep violet card. The heart paper from my stash was also matted onto deep violet card once a horizontl strip of washy tape had been added. A smaller heart shape was tucked behind the main heart and letters in white peel off were added.

Stars and back

   This digi from All Dressed Up is called stars and back and was supplied for the Outlawz Progressive challenge.
   I used neon gel pens for the stars and 'love', Distress Ink for the background and Promarkers for the remainder of the image. After adding loose glitter to the hand held star I matted the image onto purple card. A deeper shade of purple card was matted onto the base white card and the design paper on the left of the card was printed using the My Craft Studio CD ROM All Grown Up from A Man's Point of View set. Finally I added three peel off stars as an embellishment.

   I matted paper from a Kaisercraft Christmas paper pad onto textured paper from my stash (having first rounded all the corners using a punch) and wrapped Christmas tree designed satin ribbon round it before matting onto white card - again having used the corner punch.

   The image from All Dressed Up Stamps called Christmas penguins was coloured using Promarkers and I attached it to the card on top of a textured mat twisting both at different angles.

   I matted paper from DCWV onto navy core'dinations cardstock and white card to form the background. The image called baseball bear is from All Dressed Up and after colouring it using Promarkers I cut it out using a Tattered Lace decorative rectangle die. I then matted it onto navy core'dinations cardstock. I coloured peel off words using permanent pens and attached these to the card.

   I have used the digi called Fairy Flowers from All Dressed Up, colouring it using Promarkers and then matting it onto core'dinations cardstock. The designer paper, sentiment and the border round it were all printed using Docraft CD ROMS and again were matted onto core'dinations cardstock. The butterfly was cut using one of the dies from Spellbinders flying beauties set. I used Liquid Pearls for it's body, the spots on the wings and the trail.

I then threaded organza ribbon through alternate holes round the edge. The design was then matted and layered onto paper showing autumn leaves printed using My Craft Studio's CD ROM Little Miracles, dark green core'dinations cardstock, yellow (although it looks orange in the photo) embossed cardstock and finally white card.

   I used All Dressed Up's digi image 'Smile it's your birthday' and after colouring it using Promarkers I cut it out using a notched square die from Tattered Lace. I then matted and layered it onto blue centura pearl and then white card.
   Using Tattered Lace's melded celebration die I cut the parcels, balloons and stars from centura pearl paper and glued them to the card.

   I matted paper from Wild Rose Studio's paper pack Annabelle's Meadow onto white card and then added a central strip of another paper from the same pack.
   The image from All Dressed Up called Summer fayre was coloured using Promarkers. I then cut it out using a Tattered Lace notched square die and matted it onto two pieces of core'dinations cardstock which had also been cut out using dies from this set.
   Finally I finished the card with a pink glitter best wishes peel off.

   I have used the image 'little flower girl' from All Dressed Up Stamps. I coloured it using Promarkers and highlighted the stitching using a silver gel pen.    My card uses a digi image from All Dressed Up Stamps called birthday monkey. I think the image is such a fun one and therefore decided to keep the card simple so as not to detract from it. I coloured it using Promarkers and added a Trimits wobble eye to the birds eye. I then simply matted and layered it onto two different coloured squares of core'dinations cardstock and white card.

    For this card I began by wrapping two rows of yellow narrow sparkly ribbon and one of red around navy core'dinations cardstock which I had sprayed with iridescent sparkle. I then matted this onto red card. The digi image is from Crackerbox Palace and is called Santa with sleigh. I coloured it using Promarkers and distress inks and then matted it onto yellow core'dinations cardstock. To finish the card I attached red peel off words to yellow core'dinations cardstock and fixed them over the ribbons.

   My second card uses an image from All Dressed Up called Cool Dudes. Again I coloured it using Promarkers. I cut it out using a Spellbinders circle die and while it was still in the die I coloured the background using distress inks. I then matted and layered it onto grey core'dinations cardstock and white card. I finished the card by attaching a grey card candi to each of the corners of the card.

Animal cards

   We have another challenge starting at Send A Smile 4 Kids today the theme of which is animal cards. As usual we have three generous sponsors: Crackerbox Palace (any 3 digis), All Dressed Up Stamps (2 digis of the winners choice) and Deedee's Digis ($15 gift certificate).

    I made my first card for an older child and used the digi 'Owl in tree' from Crackerbox Palace. I coloured the moon.owl and tree using Promarkers . I then masked the moon and used distress inks to create the sky. I then matted and layered it onto yellow core'dinations cardstock, navy core'dinations cardstock and white card. Finally I added the sentiment cut from cream core'dinations cardstock using Tattered Lace dies.

   For my second card is for a younger child. I began by matting paper from an old paper crafting magazine onto pink core'dinations cardstock and white card.
    I cut a circle of green core'dinations cardstock and matted this onto yellow core'dinations cardstock cut out using a Spellbinders petite scalloped circle die. Onto this I attached peel offs which I had coloured using permanent pens.
   The digi 'Little Treasure' from All Dressed Up was coloured using Promarkers and cut out using a Spellbinders circle die. I then matted this onto pink core'dinations cardstock cut out using a Spellbinders classic scalloped circle die.

Pastel colours

   It's the third Saturday in the month and that means the start of another challenge at Send a Smile 4 Kids. The theme this time is pastel colours, so come on what are you waiting for!

   My first card uses the digi 'Charlotte and butterfly' from Milk Coffee Stampers. I thought it could make quite a nice mother's day card. I matted designer paper from my horde onto pale lilac mirri card and tied lilac organza ribbon round the lower part of this before matting it onto white card.

   I coloured the digi image using Promarkers and cut it out using a Spellbinders oval die having first cut round that part of the butterfly that fell outside the die and placing it over the cutting edge. I then matted this onto pale lilac mirri card which had been cut using a Spellbinders scalloped oval die. 

   Using a Tattered Lace die I cut two butterflies from the designer paper and attached the thorax to butterfly shaped mirri card.

Being a boy's card I didnt' want to make it fussy so I matted and layered the image onto three different coloured core'dinations cardstock and then onto white card. I then attached card candi and two quarter card candis to the corners of the layers.
