Rose

   The theme for this fortnight's Crafty Cardmakers challenge is 'create your own background'.
   I created my background paper by using part of the rose stamp from Carnation Crafts 'Before the Rainbow' collection and colouring it using Derwent Coloursoft pencils. I then matted and layered this onto dark and light orange card. I used the same colours for the mats and layers for the decoupaged rose flower which was cut from a downloaded vignette using a Carnation Crafts die.

Pony plait

   I have coloured this image called Pony Plait from Hettie Clare Art using Promarkers and added Distress Inks to the background although the pale blue does not show up that much in the photo. After adding a thin strip of ribbon and a bow I matted it onto pale green, blue and then white card. The pale (!) blue rosette was made using a Tattered Lace die.

Playful mice

   I have combined mice from two different Carnation Craft die sets with wheat ears cut using a Tattered Lace die along with a few butterflies. I imagine the mother mouse just waiting for the baby mouse to fall. Bits of wheat ears lie on the ground.

Country drive

Caffeinated Craig

   This month the Dragonfly Dreams challenge which has the theme of  'make it male' is being sponsored by

   I have used their digi called caffeinated Craig, coloured it using Promakers and matted it onto brown card cut using a Tattered Lace ornamental oval die. The biscuit paper is from my stash and was printed using a Hunkydory@Home USB. I used a House Mouse CD ROM to print the coffee bean strip and added a peel off sentiment to it.

Thirteenth birthday

   The theme for this month's challenge at Send A Smile 4 Kids is cards for teens ot tweenies.

For the front of this easel card I used a page from Hunkydory's Little Square Book of Milestone Birthdays and matted and layered it onto red card followed by blue mirri. The paper for the base of the card was printed using Hunkydory's @home USB key #06 and again matted onto blue mirri.

Wedding horseshoe

   The theme for this fortnight's challenge at Crafty Cardmakers is weddings.
   I have used Beccy Muir's horseshoe digi and coloured it using mainly Promarkers. I used a Spectrum Noir Sparkle pen for the ribbon. After cutting it out using a circular die I added Liquid Pearls to the flower centres. The design was then matted onto yellow card cut out using a die from Tattered Lace's Floating in the air circle surprise set. I finished the card with two sets of three gold gems.
