Bauble

 

   The July challenge at Send A Smile 4 Kids has the theme of Christmas in July.

    It seems very strange making a Christmas card when an extreme heat warning is in effect! 

    The background paper, with computer generated "Happy Christmas", was printed from Tattered Lace's Festive Pines CD Rom and matted onto pale blue card. I used a Tattered Lace die called Glisten in the Snow, removed the centre of the bauble and then coloured the diecut using Promarkers, adding red Liquid Pearls to the holly berries. The centre of the bauble was replaced with gold mirri card and to this I attached the small decoupaged image from a Morehead's Christmas pack.

Poinsettias

   This month the theme for the Send A Smile 4 Kids challenge is your favourite holiday colour combination.

   I have used Tattered Lace dies to cut Christmas flowers and foliage and attached them to textured card which I had matted onto red designer paper from my stash.

Eightieth birthday

    I have made this using dies and the matching downloadable vignettes from Carnation Crafts Perfectly Peaceful collection. The sentiment was created using various Tattered Lace dies.

   I have chosen the summer theme and gone with the summer flower of sweet pea. I used a  nine year old Tattered Lace die and its accompanying CD ROM for the flower and the design paper and an old embossing folder for the background.

I have chosen to make a Christmas card using a leftover scrap from paper printed using a My Craft Studio CD ROM for the sky background and torn white thick paper for the snow foreground. The snowman die was from Tattered Lace and the colours were added using Promarkers.

Floral birthday

 

   This theme for this month over at the Aud Sentiments challenge is not a rectangle and/or use washi tape.

   During a recent clear out I came across this printed paper and  matching die cuts. I believe they were from Tattered Lace. So using other bits and pieces in my stash I created this card.

   I was asked to make a 50th wedding anniversary card and to include gold on it. I hope this fits the bill - I have used gold mirri card and cream card. The word were cut using Tattered Lace dies and everything else was cut using Carnation Crafts dies.

   I heard recently that an ex neighbour is celebrating her eightieth birthday so I have made this quick card, using Tattered Lace's flexible daisy die and the accompanying charisma together with various dies from Carnation Crafts, colouring the flowers on the numbers using Promarkers.

Mother and child

    Looking through my stack of dies I came across this one from Tattered Lace called 'mother and child'. I cut the design from gold mirri card and matted it onto a black circle, followed by a two shades of green squares. The sentiment was cut using dies from different sets and I edged it with gold peel off strips.

A monach of the glen

   This is a card a made for a gardening friend. I have used Carnation Crafts dies and downloadable vignettes from the Fine Splendour set for the main decoupaged items and added a greeting cut using a Tattered Lace die along with butterflies also cut using a Tattered Lace die.

Cats rule

    The card base, dark and light pink layers, chair and cats were cut using Carnation crafts dies from the Comfort of Home collection. The cats were coloured using Promarkers but the chair used a downloadable vignette. I used My Craft Studios Papercraft library volume 9 to print a sheet of backing paper and fussy cut the tree from it. The sentiment and letters were cut using Tattered Lace dies.

    The card shape, matts and layers and frame for this card were cut using  Carnation Crafts gilded frame die set. The background paper was printed using My Craft Studios Festive Pines CD ROM. The trees were cut using Carnation Crafts hint of pine die and the accompanying downloadable vignette and the stag was cut using a Tattered Lace die from the Festive Pines set. I used peel offs for the sentiment.

Blue bird wishes

   For this fortnight the theme for the Crafty Cardmakers challenge is things with wings.

   Using dies from Tattered Lace's Daisy Hill Picture Decoupage die set I created a square frame which I attached to light purple patterned card. The bird and its nest die along with the downloadable vignette is from Carnations Craft Full of Love set and the tree peony is from their Beneath the Cherry Tree set. The sentiment was cut using a Tattered Lace die.

Heather

   The frame on this card was cut using Tattered Lace's ornamental antique lace rectangle die from pale pink card. I cut away the centre of the rectangle and matted it onto white card cut using the same die. This combination was then attached to a darker pink rectangular card matted onto white card.
   The bouquet is made up of heather cut using the die from Carnation Crafts precious flowers collection and the accompanying downloadable vignette. I added a bow to it and finished the card with a peel off sentiment which I coloured using a permanent pen.
