Christmas eve

   I am pleased to have been asked to be a guest designer for the Createful Hearts challenge.
   This card uses their digi called Christmas eve kitty which I have coloured using Promarkers. The papers are from a Kaisercraft Christmas paper pad and the sentiment was cut using a Tattered Lace die. As embellishments I drew three stockings, coloured them using Promarkers and fussy cut them. I added three mini pearls as nails from which to hang the stockings and drew a line connecting each pearl to its stocking.

Scraps

   I have acquired quite a lot of offcuts from making decoupage designs on cards so I have dedcided that it is about time that I made use of them.

   This card uses pieces left over from diecuts using Tattered Lace's country garden design. The original charisma was printed using the accompanying CD ROM and the strip across the centre of the card (which was also in my scrap pile) was printed using the same CD ROM. The sentiment was cut using another Tattered Lace die and I painted over the letters using Stickles.

Playing marbles

   This is a card for my son-inlaw.The digi from The Paper Shelter and coloured using Promarkers is called Playing marbles. The card shape was cut using a Tattered Lace die as was the sentiment. To finish the card I added Glossy Accents to the marbles.

Spring boot

   This fortnight's theme for the Crafty Cardmakers challenge is celebration.
   I began by attaching a cerise frame to pink mottled card and then the Bugaboo digi image called Spring boot which I had coloured using Promarkers. I then applied Liquid Pearl dots around the image and added a die cut butterfly and a bunny, the latter cut using a Tattered Lace die from the Hopper family and the accompanying charisma. I used peel off letters for the sentiment.

Bella butterfly

   This month's Dragonfly Dreams challenge is being sponsored by 

   The theme of the challenge is use ribbon, lace and/or pearls.

   I have used their digi called Bella butterfly and coloured it using Promarkers. After cutting it out using an oval die I pleated organza ribbon around the edge and glued it to another oval piece of card to help keep the ribbon in place. I then added nine mini white pearls to the foliage.
   The paper from Lili of the Valley's Bonnets and Bowties paper pad was matted and layered onto purple and then white catd. The sentiment was cut using Tattered Lace dies.

Beer bear

   This month the Send A Smile 4 Kids challenge has the theme of cards for dads from kids.
   I have used a Di's Digi stamp called Beer bear and coloured it using Promarkers. After cutting it out I inked round the edges and matted it onto the same shape cut in brown and off set. The lacy die cut used behind the sentiment was cut using the same die set - interlinked illusion squares from Tattered Lace. The letterd for the sentiment were also cut using Tattered Lace dies.
   The background paper from Wid Rose Studio's For Men paper stack was matted and layered onto brown and cream cards.

Knitting house mice

   I have made this card for someone who enjoys knitting. The image and background paper was printed using the CD ROM included with the House Mouse project book. The 'knitting needles' were made from two halves of a cocktail stick with a pearl stuck on one end of each. And yes the knitting was done using these needles.
