Catching eggs

   Friday can only mean a new challenge at QKR Stampede. This week I have chosen to make an Easter card and to use up a few more scraps in my stash.
   I began by matting and layering some left over printed 'grass' paper from my stash onto black and then white card. I found a scrap of Easter egg design paper from on old magazine so matted this onto black card and attached it as a strip. The digi bunny is called catching Easter eggs and after colouring him I fussy cut him and attached him to the egg 'path'. From the remaining scrap I cut an egg to place in his hand and a partial egg to put in the basket. Finally using a Tattered Lace die I cut the sentiment from black and from yellow card and glued them to the Easter card.

Floral birthday

   The theme for the Crafty Cardmakers challenge beginning today is 'for that special someone'. I have made this birthday card for my sister.
   I matted and layered the spring flower paper onto pale orange and white card. The decoupaged flowers were cut using Tattered Lace's spring frame die and attached to white card matted onto pale orange. The sentiment was cut using another Tattered Lace die.

Easter bunnies

   Thought I had better make some Easter cards. This one uses a digi from Scrapper's Delight called eggtraspecial. i coloured it using Promarkers and then placed it behind an shaped oval aperture so that she appear to be stepping out of it. I then matted and layered it onto darker green card and white. I attached some leaves flourishes, easter eggs cut from scraps of paper, a bunny and a sentiment all cut using various Tattered Lace dies.

Bedtime bear 2

  

   It's Friday so time for another QKR Stampede challenge.

   Using a Tattered Lace die I cut curtains from a scrap of paper in my stash and coloured the curtain poles using a gel pen. I matted the night sky paper printed using the My Craft Studio CD ROM 'From A Man's Point of View - All Grown Up' and matted this behind windows I had cut using a Tattered Lace die.After highlighting parts of the window using Promarker pens I matted the curtains on top and then attached it to pale orange card wich had been matted onto white card.
   The bedtime bear digi was coloured using Promarkers, fussy cut and attached in front of the curtained window. From darker orange card I cut the sentiment using a Tattered Lace die.

Best mum

   Today sees the start of a new 'just for fun' challenge at Crafting From the Heart.
   I used the hibiscus wreath die from Tattered Lace to cut out the flowers which I then shaped before attaching to white card. This was then matted onto dark pink card and then layered onto printed design paper which had been matted and layered onto dark pink then white card.
   The sentiment was cut from dark pink card using Tattered Lace's alphabet dies and finnally pink gems were added.

New home

   It's Friday and time for a fresh challenge at QKR Stampede.
   I began by matting and layering paper printed using the Paws For Thought Volume 2 CD ROM onto black and then white card. he image called cottage was coloured using Promarkers and then also matted onto black card. The computer generated sentiment was cut out using a Tattered Lace charisma frames 2 die and again matted onto black card to which I added two gems.

Indulgence

   Searching through my stash I came across this House Mouse decoupage sheet. After making it up I ran a black pen around the edge before attaching it to variegated  coloured card. I then wrapped black satin ribbon round this and matted it onto black card. A bow was then added to the ribbon strip and four black card candi to each corner of the image. Finally I added the sentiment which again was matted onto black card.

Study in green

   Today sees the start of a new Crafty Cardmakers' challenge, this time with the theme of make it green.
   I wrapped green satin ribbon around green card and matted it onto white card. The flower image was created using a stamp from Rare Earth's 'On this special day' set. I coloured it using Promarkers and matted it onto a green oval before attaching it to the card. I then added a bow and three pearls to the ribbon strip.

Heavenly music

   A new Crafting From the Heart challenge begins today with the usual anything goes theme. It is being sponsored by

   I have chosen to use their digi Heavens melody to make a Christmas card.

   The main background paper was printed using the My Craft Studio CD ROM Mystical Wonders and I matted and layered it onto black the white card. I matted a strip of carol music onto black card and attached this vertically to the card. The image which was also matted onto black card was coloured using Promarkers and I added loose glitter to the background and wings. Finally I added three gems to the card.

   I began my card by matting strips of printed paper in my stash onto gold mirri and layering this onto white card. The image called Angelic Boo was coloured using Promarkers and edged using Distress Ink. The white frame was cut using a die from Tattered Lace's Kedleston scallop oval set.

Have a ball

   The monthly Send A Smile 4 Kids challenge has the March theme of cards for boys.
   I have used a Hunkydory set to create this card adding some gold mirri as a base mat. I also used a Tattered Lace die in order to create the rosette.

Peeking puppy

   Another challenge begins today at QKR Stampede.
   For this card I began by embossing brown card using the Darice wood grain embossing folder, lightly sanding it and the applying Distress Ink to it. I then matted this together with blue card onto black card. The digi image is called puppy peeker and I added a little Promarker colouring to it before fussy cutting it and attaching it to the card. The words for the sentiment were cut using various dies from Tattered Lace's Christmas and All Occasion sentiment die sets.
