Anyone for tennis?
This week at QKR Stampede the theme for the challenge is anything goes with the twist of keep your eye on the ball.
Using one of Tattered Laces card shapes circle dies I created an easel card base. The papers are from Free Craft Downloads and i matted one onto the base of the card and the other onto green card stock before attaching it to the front of the easel card.
The image called playing tennis (number 16219) was coloured using Promarkers. After cutting it out using an oval die I matted it onto green card and attached it to the card front.
I used a tattered Lace long reach embossing folder to emboss the white oval card used for the easel stop and coloured the sentiment using a Promarker pen. I then matted this onto green card and attached it to the base of the card using foam pads.

The wrinkles jaws!
Crafty Cardmakers has their first challenge after the summer break beginning today. The theme is under the sea or at the beach.
I have used a paper from La Pashe Ltd's set of The Wrinkles at the Movies. I decoupaged the image and attached it to the centre of white card. I then cut a circle in the centre of a square of coloured card and attached acetate cut from some packaging to the back of it. Using a slightly darker tone of card I cut a ring to fit round the aperture to make a 'porthole'. I then added some card candi to this ring. Finally I added the sentiment.

Honest!
This week the theme for the QKR Stampede challenge is shaped cards along with anything goes.
I have made a trifold card with the front fold cut around the image.
This front image is called honest (number 13308) and after colouring using Promarkers I fussy cut the right hand side of it. I wrapped two rows of ribbon round the left hand side of the card tieing them together with another short piece of ribbon. This I then matted onto the front of the card and cut round the image. Using Tattered Lace dies I cut out the letters and numbers.
I printed a second image called fingers crossed (number 13311) the same size as the first. After colouring it using Promarkers I fussy cut it and attached it to the third fold so that it was positioned behind the image on the front of the card.
The centre fold contained the sentiment cut out using Tattered Lace dies.

Violinist
The theme for this week's challenge at QKR Stampede is inspired by music along with the usual anything goes.
Having taught at a music school where the most popular instrument played was the violin (and one of my grand daughters is also learning to play the instrument) I just had to use this image of the turtle violinist (number 24137) which I coloured using Promarkers and then matted onto black card. The background paper has been in my stash box for sometime having printed several sheets to use on an earlier project and was matted and layered onto core'dinations couture cardstock and white card. The happy birthday greeting was free in an old magazine and I attached two card candi to it.

A posy
I have been having fun using some of the items from my recently purchased Tattered Lace Magical Midnight collection.
I matted one of the papers printed using the CD ROM onto teal card. After colouring some ribbon to match the card colour using Promarkers I wrapped it round the combination and matted it onto white card. I cut an oval from white card using a Tattered Lace mini ruffle die and attached it to the centre of the card. I die cut three of the Just Because image, decoupaged them and attached it to the oval. I then tucked a mini postcard in behind the flowers and added a bow.

Pirate's treasure
I was asked to make a birthday card for a four year old called Billy who is mad on pirates. This is what I came up with.
The digi image is a merger of two digis, the pirate from Deary Dolls and the treasure chest from Doodle Pantry. The words are computer generated. The treasure was coloured using Spectrum Noir Sparkle pens and the remainder using Spectrum Noir and Promarker pens. I cut around the lid of the treasure chest and inserted the happy birthday tag before matting and layering the design onto black and then white card.

Puppy love
This month the theme for the Dragonfly Dream Challenge is animals and is is being sponsored by Bugaboo Stamps.
I made the shaped card using the ornamental label card shape dies from Tattered Lace. Before attaching the blue mat to the white base card shape I wrapped ribbon round each end. Using a Promarker pen I added black dots to the ribbon to match the bows in the digi image. This image from bugaboo is called puppy love and was coloured using Promarkers and cut out using a de from the aforementioned set. I used Tattered Lace's vertical sentiment dies to cut the happy birthday from red card. Finally I randomly glued grey pearls and red and white gems onto the sentiment panels.

Treasure!
The theme this week for the QKR Stampede challenge is anything goes with the twist make it humorous.
i coloured the digi image called one man's trash (number 7102) using Promarkers and after cutting it out dusted the edges using distress ink. I did the same with the sentiment digi (number 16411) and the pieces of white card. I then attached these to pink paper which had been matted onto white card. The pile of cups, before they were broken!, is taken from Hunkydory's Little book of Everything.
