Flying high
The theme for this week's QKR Stampede challenge is anything goes with the added twist of up, up and away.
I used the image floating away (Number 8201) and after colouring it using Spectrum Noir pens fussy cut it out. I shaped it slightly and attached it using glue gel to 'sky' paper which I had matted and layered onto navy core'dinations cardstock and cream card.
Using a free die from a magazine I cut a tag and after colouring it using Promarkers wrote the sentiment. I then tied it to the base of the balloon using twine.

I wrapped two rows of narrow pink satin ribbon round the lower edge of grey card and matted this onto white card. After attaching the image I cut Happy Birthday from the mulberry paper and attached this between the band of ribbon.

Wild roses
This week's challenge at Crafting From The Heart is being sponsored by
and as always the theme is anything goes.
I have not used any digi stamps but have made use of stash and a die that I have had for some time.
Using Tattered Lace's Florentine over the edge set 2 die twice I cut a lacy circle that stayed within the front of a square based card. Masking off the rest of the card I then sprayed the circle using Crafter's Companion iridescent spray and sparkle and then folded back the front half of the card. The papers and topper are from Kanban's 'The Language of Flowers' kit and I outlined the papers with strips of silver. I then attached a handmade flower to the lower left hand corner and added Stickles to its centre.

Special delivery
For the QKR Stampede challenge this week the theme is anything goes with the twist of congratulations. A neighbour asked me to make a card for a medical friend of hers who has just had a baby boy so I thought this image was just the thing. It is called special delivery (number 14010) and I coloured it using Promarkers. I teamed it with the sentiment it's a boy (number 14009) and matted it onto blue card. The spotty background paper was matted onto the same coloured card and then white card. The embellishments were printed using the Tattered Lace CD ROM charisma bunny.

Puppy mail
Today sees the start of a new challenge at Creative Corner the theme of which is for the dogs.
I matted some left over paper previously printed for an earlier card onto black and then white card. The digi called puppy happy mail is from Crafty Paws and was coloured using Spectrum Noir pens. After cutting it out using a Spellbinders square die I matted it onto black card which I had cut out using a Tattered Lace pearl square die.
I cut three mini cards using a Spellbinders label four die, inked the edges using a red Promarker pen and wrote on each before placing them inside three mini envelopes which I had punched. After attaching them to the card I added a small peel off heart to the topmost one.

Frieda flapper
I recently bought the Tattered Lace iconic deco card shape die so I thought I would try it out using white red and black card. It took a long time to cut all the triangles and stick them on but I think it was worth it. I then coloured Kenny K's Frieda Flapper digi using Promarkers, cut it out using an oval die and after attaching red peel off to the rim attached it to the shaped card using foam pads.

Potting shed and dogs
I was asked to make a card for someone who liked gardening and dogs. This is the resulting card.
I matted pink mirri card onto white card and then attached the potting shed sheet from Hunkydory's Little Book of Springtime Moments to the centre of this.
I stuck paper from Hunkydory's Garden Flowers of Britain paper pad onto card and cut a rectangle from the centre of this to form a reactangular frame. I cut and coloured using Promarkers a frame using Tattered Lace's meadow sweet die and attached this to the rectangular frame. I then attached this to the card using foam pads.
I fussy cut the dogs from another sheet in the Little Book, shaped them slightly and using glue gel stuck them to the front of the card. Lastly I attached a peel off sentiment to the frame and the woman's name to the chair.

I have used A Day For Daisies digi called babe in a basket and coloured it using Promarkers. Before matting and layering it onto gilded purple textured paper, pink textured paper and white card I removed the lower left hand corner. Once matted I rolled back the top layer of the matting to reveal the pink textured paper and the ungilded side of the purple textured paper. I then add a paper flower and leaves printed using a My Craft Studio CD ROM and a peel off congratulations sentiment.

Bird bath
This month the theme for the Dragonfly Dreams challenge is girly with a die cut or punch.
I coloured Angie's digi image called bird bath using Promarkers and fussy cut it out. Using card from Hunkydory's the thatched cottage collection I cut along the tos of some of the flower clumps and then tucked the base of the bird bath image into it. This combination was then matted and layered onto gold mirri and cream card.
I cut the floral arch using a Tattered Lace die and coloured it using Promarkers. After gluing it to the card I added flower soft to the branches and Liquid Pearls to the flower centres. I finished the card with a sentiment cut from gold mirri using the Tattered Lace die ornamental happy birthday.

Today sees the start of a fresh challenge at Send A Smile 4 Kids. The theme for this one is spring colours and is being sponsored by
Sami Stamps who are offering a $12 gift certificate
and
Dies R Us who are offering a $15 gift certificate to their winner.
When I think of spring colours I think of of the mauve and yellow croci growing on the lawns around where I live so I have used these colours on my card.
I wrapped ribbon round the left hand side of design paper from Kanban Crafts the language of flowers paper pad and then matted and layered it onto yellow core'dinations cardstock and white card. After colouring the Paper Shelter image called covered in kittens I matted it also onto yellow core'dinations cardstock. The sentiment was cut from the afore mentioned paper pad and again matted onto core'dinations cardstock. Finally I added three bows.

Walking the dog!
There is an anything goes theme for the challenge at QKR Stampede this week.
I have used the image walking the dog (number 17102) and coloured it using Promarkers and decided to make a card with the dog jumping through a hole.
Sometime ago I attempted to print some brick wall paper but the printer ran out of ink. However I kept the result and have used it on this card having coloured each brick using a Promarker pen. I then cut a hole in the wall. I cut round the lower half of the image and positioned the cut portion in front of the wall while keeping the rest behind the hole. I then matted and layered the combination onto black and then white card. Finally I added the birthday wishes sentiment.

Girl fun
Today is the start of a new challenge over at Creative Corner. The theme of this one is girl fun and it is being sponsored by The Paper Shelter.
In my stash I found the remains of shoe design paper I had printed some time ago and thought it would be just the paper to go with The Paper Shelter image called mad about shoes. I matted and layered it onto pink and then red card. After colouring the image using Promarkers I cut it out using a Tattered Lace notched rectangle die and matted it onto red mirri card. I stamped the sentiment using part of a stamp from Crafter's Companion Frou Frou Shoppe set of stamps and again matted it onto red mirri card. The two pink shoe embellishments were made from peel offs stuck onto card and cut out.
