Cottage garden

The theme for the new challenge at Crafty Cardmakers is 'explosion of colour'. I immediately thought of a garden when all the flowers are in bloom so I have made a card using a sheet from Howard Robinson's decoupage set from Joanna Sheen. After making up the decoupage I matted it onto pink core'dinations cardstock. The background paper was printed using My Craft Studio's CD ROM called Bloomin' Perfect and this was matted and layered onto core'dinations cardstock and white card. The greeting was cut using Tattered Lace sentiment dies. Each word was cut twice - one in black and one in green - and attached to give a shadow effect.

I would like to enter this into the following challenges:
   Crafty Friends - anything goes
   Brown Sugar - birthday
   Crafty Girlz - anything goes
Crafty Gals Corner - anything goes
   Creative Moments - anything goes

Warmest wishes

This week's challenge at Crafting From the Heart is being sponsored by
Oddball Art

I used their digi called vegan chilli bowl and coloured it using Promarkers. I cut it out using a Spellbinders circle die and matted it onto core'dinations cardstock which I had cut using a Spellbinders classic scalloped circle die.
The paper which I had in my stash was matted onto paler core'dinations cardstock and then onto white card. The sentiment was made from brown and orange core'dinations cardstock which had been cut using letters from Tattered Lace's elegant alphabet set of dies. The letters were arranged to mimic the steam trails and the orange ones were placed on top of the brown ones to create a shadow effect. Finally I coloured three card candi and attached these to the top right hand corner of the card.

Dies only

Creative Corner would like you to use only black and white in their challenge this week. I have departed from my normal type of card and used dies only and no alcohol pens.
I cut two black card squares and attached them in opposite corners to a large square of white card. The decorative ring was created by snipping into black and white card cut using Tattered Lace's rose posy die. I cut two of each colour using the second piece to decoupage the roses.
I used Tattered Lace'd notched square dies to cut the centre squares and dies from their all occasions sentiments set to cut the greeting. The butterflies were cut from a Signature die from Joanna Sheen.

Runner

The theme for the challenge beginning today at Crafty Cardmakers is birthdays.
I used a cream card for the base of my design. The person I made this card for loves running on the beach so I created the scene by using the digi called Kimberly jogging from Make It Crafty and combining it with a beach picture. I coloured Kimberly using Promarkers and fussy cut the front leg.
Using the monumental moments die from Tattered Lace I cut LOVE from core'dinations cardstock. Using two oval dies I cut a frame for the O. I then placed the scene behind this, but brought the cut leg to the fore of the die. This was then attached to the base card. I die cut With from core'dinations cardstock and attached this to the card.
Using the Tattered Lace die Ditsy Clematis I cut three from white card and coloured them using Promarkers. Cutting into them, I placed pieces in various positions about the card and added Stickles to the flower centres.
Finally using letters from Tattered Lace's vertical sentiments dies I created the phrase happy birthday Alison around the upper half of the O.
