The artist
The theme for this weeks challenge at QKR Stampede is embossing.
I used embossed core'dinations card for my background, sanding it before I matted it onto white card. The image is Artist Bear (number 14409) which I coloured using Promarkers and cut out before attaching it to the card. I added Glossy Accents to the bear's nose and to the paint on the palate and used a silver gel pen on the collar of the paint brush.
Finally I added a sentiment.

Autumn
The theme for the latest challenge at Crafty Cardmakers is autumn. I chose to use one of the decoupage sheets from Jayne Netley Mayhew's Autumn collection as it reminds me of the crab apple tree I have in my garden and to incorporate it in an easel card.
I have lots of scarps of printed papers in my stash and I used two pieces of these on the base of the easel. I joined the two pieces together and wrapped ribbon round round the join before matting it onto core'dinations cardstock and fixing it to the base of the card. The ribbon also acted as part of the stop for the easel.
I also matted the decoupaged design onto the same coloured core'dinations cardstock before fixing it to the easel part of the card. Lastly I added a sentiment matted again onto core'dinations cardstock and attached this to the ribbon. A further sentiment was added to the corner of the base of the card.

Magic Card
The challenge at QKR Stampede this week has the theme of anything goes, so come over and show us your creations.
This is the front of my card for which I used the image called Magic card (number 16406). I coloured the main character using Promarkers and used glitter gel pen for the surrounding stars.I then cut out the right hand side of the image and matted it onto white folded card which I then cut round to match the cut image.
For the inside of my card I used the image called One Year Older ( number 16401) but before printing it I removed the words, flipped the character and then replaced the words. I also made it the same size as the front image. I then completed it as for the front of the card.

The main attraction
Scrapper's Delights have many lovely digi images and once a fortnight they hold a Friday Freebie progressive challenge on facebook. This time the freebie is a set of sentiments.
I created the background on the computer and after printing it matted and layered it onto black and then white card. The central image is a combination of two images from Scrapper's Delights - Circus Pony Bethany and Circus-Tipsy-Turvy. I coloured both using Promarkers and fussy cut them. The later I then cut into three pieces and arranged on the pony so that she appeared to be riding it. I matted the combination onto black card and cut round it leaving a narrow margin.
I cut a star from black card and attached this to the left hand top corner of the card. Across this I glued a sentiment from Scrapper's Delight having first coloured it using Promarkers.

Next I cut three squares of different coloured core'dinations cardstock and along with the decoupage image arranged them one on top of one another in a cascading formation. Leafy scarecrow
Another Friday and another challenge at QKR Stampede. This week we are asking you to use fall colours.
I cut some paper printed from a Joanna Sheen CD ROM using a Tattered Lace notched square die and then inked it using distress inks before matting it onto core'dinations cardstock. I then wrapped ribbon (taken from a bouquet of flowers that I had received for my birthday) round the centre of this and matted it onto white card.
I coloured the image called scarecrow and leaves (number 18806) using Promarkers and while it was still in the notched square die I brushed the edges using distress inks. I matted it onto spotty embossed card and attached it to the main card after which I added a bow to the horizontal ribbon. I coloured four card candi and added these to the corners of the card.
Finally I matted a piece of the spotty card onto core'dinations cardstock, added a white peel off sentiment and fixed it to the card using foam pads.

The theme for the challenge at Crafty Cardmakers is layer it up so I decided to do a decoupaged design. I used several pages of the same image from Hunkydory's Little Book of Winter Wildlife to cut out different layers and items and decoupaged the image which I then matted and layered onto core'dinations cardstock and white card.
I layered ovals of core'dinations cardstock, waste design paper and core'dinations cardstock onto which I attached a peel off sentiment and fixed this to the top right hand corner of the card.

Smart girl
The theme for this month's challenge at Dragonfly Dreams is monochrome and it is being sponsored by The Paper Shelter. I made this for a friend's daughter to congratulate her on passing her GCSE's and wishing her the best with her A level studies.
I cut a square of grey core'dinations cardstock and fixed it in a diamond orientation onto designer paper from DCWV. After wrapping black satin ribbon round the centre of this I matted and layered it onto black and then white card.
The digi image from The Paper Shelter is called 'Smart is the new sexy' and after colouring it using Promarkers I matted it onto black card which had been cut using a scalloped Tattered Lace rectangle die. I finished the card with a black bow and a white peel off sentiment.

Farmer birdie
We have a new challenge for you at Send A Smile 4 Kids the theme of which is cute fall or halloween. It is being sponsored by:
Doodle Pantry who are offering a $10 gift certificate
and
Die-Versions who are offering a $15 gift certificate.
I have used Doodle \Pantry's farmer birdie set for my card. I matted one of the designer papers onto white card. I cut a smaller square from a second paper and twisted this before matting it onto the card. i then cut a square from the third paper and roughened the edges a little to give some interest before matting the image onto it. (Why is it that when you want the edges rough it doesn't want to play ball?).
I coloured the bird using Promarkers and used a silver gel pen for the fork and trouser buttons. In order to create some depth I coloured the sweet corn using Spectrum Noir pencils.

Upset golfer
We have a recipe for this week's challenge at QKR Stampede. We want to see 1 design, 2 design papers and 3 embellishments.
I had a piece of printed paper left over from my previous golfer card so I attached a strip of this to paper printed using My Craft Studio's From A Man's Point of View - All Grown Up CD ROM. I then wrapped some twine round this and tied it together in the centre. This I then matted and layered onto brown core'dinations cardstock and white card.
I coloured the image called 'upset golfer' (number 16507) using Promarkers and after cutting it out with a circular die I inked part of the edge to create a shadow similar to the golf balls on the designer paper. I cut a circle of core'dinations cardstock and inked part of this again to correspond with the shading on the designer paper. I attached theses circles to the card to mirror the design on the paper.
I added a dragonfly because I thought this could have been the cause of the golfer missing the hole and thus getting upset! Finally I added card candi to the base of the paper strip.
I would like to enter this into the following challenges:
Digi Choosday - anything goes
The Crafter's Cafe - use two patterned papers
Crafty Sentiments Designs - Lots of layers

Circus girl
I am delighted to have been invited to be a guest designer for Scrapper's Delights this month and was given the image Circus-Tipsy-Tervy to 'play' with. I coloured her using Promarkers and then fussy cut her out.
The background is based on a free image I found on the web and I created the black and white line drawing using a graphics program. Again I coloured it using Promarkers apart from the letters for which I used a silver glitter gel pen. I then matted it onto silver card and fixed the circus girl to the card using glue gel. I created another 'ball', attached a peel off happy birthday to it and glue gelled that to the card.
I would like to enter this into the following challenges:
Ooh La La Creations - girlie
Craft Your Passion - anything goes
Digi Choosday - anything goes
4 Crafty Chicks - fussy cutting

Fairy tale
This week the challenge at Creative Corner has the theme of fairy tale or once upon a time and is being sponsored by A Day For Daisies.
I matted paper printed from Tattered Lace's CD ROM Charisma Blossom Fairy onto dark blue core'dinations cardstock and white card. The central digi image from A Day For Daisies is called 'Where dreams come from' and I coloured it using Promarkers. When thoroughly dry I went over the sky again to increase the depth of the colour. I then cut it out using an oval die, matted it onto pink core'dinations cardstock and added Stickles to the stars before attaching it to the card. I coloured peel off letters and adhered thes to the bottom of the image. Finally using the charisma Blossom Fairy CD ROM and the accompanying die I cut out a fairy and attached it to the card.
