Dies only!
The theme for the challenge starting today at Crafty Cardmakers is monochrome. I have quite a collection of dies so decided to see what I could make if I only used dies.
I began by matting and layering white card onto black card and then onto another piece of white card. Using the Tattered Lace Anne border die I cut two from black card and attached these to the two vertical sides of the card. I cut the happy birthday sentiment from black card using the ornamental happy birthday die from Tattered Lace and attached this to white card which I matted onto black card both cut using Tattered Lace dies. Using dies from Tonic's Purple Empress butterfly die set I made a 3D butterfly from black card which I attached to the top of the sentiment frame.
I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Dragon's fire
The theme for this week's challenge at Eureka Stamps is the easy one of anything goes.
I have used the digi image Dragon blowing candles (number 24801) and coloured it using Promarkers. I cut it out using a Tattered Lace pin dot circle die and then added alternate dots of yellow and orange Stickles in the pin holes. I also used these two colours on the candle flame. The icing on the cake was coloured using Glossy Accents.
The background paper was printed using the My Craft Studio CD ROM 'Flowers and faux finishes' and I chose this because I thought it looked like fire that the dragon could have created. After matting it onto white card I outlined it using gold peel offs. I stuck random gold stars onto the background.
The rosette was made using a Tattered Lace die and a Spellbinders scalloped circle die. I added a gol peel off sentiment to it.

Gardenia
The start of another challenge at Crafting From the Heart and this one is being sponsored by Lacy Sunshine
I used some textured paisley paper that was one of my first paper crafting buys as the background for my card. I cut two Tattered Lace lush swirls and coloured them using Promarkers before fixing them to two of the corners of the card. I then cut some more of the flowers, coloured them and used them to decoupage the die cut swirl. I then added 3D glitter glue to the centre of each flower.
The main image is Lacy Sunshine's digi 'Gardenia - secret love'. After colouring it using Promarkers I cut it out using a Tattered Lace pearl pin dot oval die. I added some Stickles dots and a silver peel off sentiment before attaching it to the card using foam pads.

Super hero
This digi called 'Super-Hero-Boy' from Scrapper's Delights I thought would be ideal to make a card for one of my grandsons. I coloured him using Promarkers and a silver gel pen. The background was created by using an image from Scrapper's Delights 'Beauty in all things'. I copied and pasted, rotated and altered the colours. I then used Word Art to create the sentiment. After printing it out I matted and layered it onto black and then white card.

Carnations
The theme for this week's challenge at Eureka Stamps is 'pretty in pink'. I have used the digi image carnations (number 9203), coloured it using Promarkers and the fussy cut it out.
Using a Spellbinders blossom die I cut an aperture in a square of pink core'dinations cardstock and then matted and layered it onto pink pearlescent paper, green card, a darker green core'dinations cardstock and finally white card. I outlined the aperture using a white sentiment peel off strip.
I shaped the cut out flower slightly and then attached it to the card using glue gel.

This week the challenge at Creative Corner has the theme clean and simple and is being sponsored by Scribbles Designs.
I have used their digi image flower 2. Before printing it I copied the image, flipped it and reduced it to create a second image. I coloured the leaves and the edges of the card using Promarkers, but the flowers were coloured using Spectrum Noir Sparkle pens. I then added a coloured peel off.

A little bit of stitching
For the new challenge beginning today at Crafty Cardmakers you are asked to show some stitching whether it be faux or real.
I matted paper printer using volume 2 of Redoute's 'Les Belles Fleurs' CD ROM onto pink core'dinations cardstock and white card. I matted a strip of another design printed using the same CD ROM onto core'dinations cardstock and attached this across the top of my card.
The cross stitch design is taken from a very old Cross Stitcher magazine and I attached it to the inside of a small aperture card. I then attached black bendable peel off around the aperture and a black peel off sentiment beneath it after which I attached the mini card to the front of my main card.
To the inside of the mini card I attached another sentiment cut from the pink core'dinations cardstock using the Tattered Lace ornamental best wishes die.

Toy animals
The theme for this week's challenge at Eureka Stamps is quilting/stitching.
For the background paper on my card I chose that which I thought looked like material which had been stitched. I matted and layered it onto mauve core'dinations cardstock and white card.
The digi image called baby animals (number 40204) was coloured using Promarkers. After cutting it out I backstitched round the edges using two strands of embroidery thread and then matted it onto core'dinations cardstock which I had cut out using a Tattered Lace die. Finally using embroidery thread I made a bow and attached it to the corner of the image.

Be happy
I love the colour combination of yellow and black so I just had to use those colours with this digi called 'bee digi 7' from Scrapper's delight. I immediately thought of honeycomb so decided to make a hexagonal card.
Using a tattered Lace hexagonal die I cut a piece of yellow core'dinations cardstock. I cut an aperture using a smaller die and then embossed the card using the Tattered Lace hexagonal lattice die. I then dusted it with distress ink. I coloured the digi image using Promarkers and inserted it in the aperture before matting and layering onto black and then white card.
The sentiment was cut from black card using the elegant alphabet and all occasion Tattered Lace dies. Finally I added the bumble bee cut again from black card using the Tattered Lace beautiful bee die.

May flowers
This weeks theme for the Eureka Stamps challenge is' April showers bring May flowers'.
I created my backing paper by using part of the digi image flower border (number 14709) and repeating it. I then matted and layered it onto black and then white card.
I embossed a piece of white card using the Cuttlebug Daisies embossing folder and then applied silver gilding wax to it. After matting it onto black card I attached it to the left hand side of my card.
Using the flower border digi image I marked off a circle and only coloured within it. Using Spellbinders circle dies I cut out a ring of black card and attached this to the digi image to enclose the coloured portion. I then roughly cut out the image and attached it to the card using form pads.
Lastly I used the Tattered Lace ornamental thinking of you die to create a sentiment from black card.

Ladies night
The theme for this weeks challenge at Creative Corner is ladies night.
I have used a Crafter's Companion Scruffy Little Cat stamp called Chanel and coloured it using Promarkers. I then cut it out using a Tattered Lace beaded oval die. The designer paper is from the Scruffy Little Cat paper pad and I wrapped washy tape round the lower half before matting it onto white card. I used various peel offs to create a 'string of pearls' down the right hand side. Finally I added a peel off sentiment.

Get well
For the new challenge starting at Crafty Cardmakers you are asked to use pearls or gems.
I love the House Mouse characters and have also run out of 'get well' cards so I took the opportunity to satisfy both. The backing paper and decoupage pieces were both printed using the CD ROM from the first House Mouse Designs project book. I wrapped satin purple ribbon which I had taken from some packaging around the printed paper and then matted it onto deep purple core'dinations cardstock and white card. After making up the decoupaged image I matted it onto pink core'dinations cardstock. I also matted the sentiment onto pink core'dinations cardstock, attached it to the centre of the ribbon band and then each side of this glued three graduating purple pearls. Finally I added a bow to the top right hand corner of the image.
I would like to enter this into the following challenges:

Smile
This weeks challenge at Eureka Stamps asks you to make a feminine/ Mother's day card, so I have gone for pink (with a little touch of blue).
I matted the pink spotty paper onto pink core'dinations cardstock and wrapped blue satin ribbon round the left hands side before matting it onto white card. The image called 'time for tea' (number 14102) was coloured using Promarkers and matted onto black card (it made it stand out more) before attaching it to the card. The sentiment called 'whenever I think' (number 13506(196)) was matted onto pink core'dinations cardstock cut out using a Tattered Lace die. Finally I added three card candi which I had coloured using a Promarker pen.
