Spinning tree

The papers used for the front and inside of this card were printed using Tattered Lace's Over the Mantel Piece CD ROM. The dies used were also from Tattered Lace.
To make the spinning tree I cut two pieces of white card and sandwiched them together with thread running vertically through them. I then glued the same die cut image to both sides of the tree. I cut a circular aperture large enough for the tree to turn in both the card front and the paper that was to be attached to the front lining them up. The thread running through the tree was then sandwiched between the card front and design paper. Finally I cut flexible strips of leaves to go round the edge of the aperture and once in place added pearl and violet Liquid Pearl drops.

I would like to enter this into the following challenges:

  1. What a great card Mary, I love the bright colours! I enjoy winding these cards up and sending them to people. I imagine how surprised they are when they open the card and the little decorative element spins around. So fun!
    Cheers,
