Three Little Maids

This stamp is from the Seahorse stamp set from Joanna Sheen's All Our Yesterdays range.  Coloured with Promarkers and distress ink it was then mounted onto mirri card cut with a Spellbinder die. The backing paper from JS's Faye Whittaker Collection CD Rom had distress ink added to the sea and edges. Blue and yellow ribbon was threaded alternately through this at the base and mounted onto core'dinations card stock. The swirls were cut using Marianne Creatables dies.

Decorator at work!

This stamp is "A Lick of Paint" from Lili of the Valley. I coloured it with Promarkers and inked the edges with Dusty Concord distress ink having used Spellbinders labels eight to cut it out. I then mounted it on purple mirri card cut using decorative labels eight and applied glossy accents to all the "paint". The same set of dies was used to create the sentiment tag. Rolled up paper was used to simulate rolls of wallpaper and I used a graphics program to create the decoupaged tins of paint. I hope my son appreciates my efforts.
I would also like to enter this into the Lili of the Valley challenge "Boy oh Boy!"

Happy Gardening

Here's a card for a girl who likes gardening.
The trellis was made using Spellbinders basic lattice die and garden twine was woven in and out to form the rose stems. Better to do this before fixing to card. I was not thinking and stuck the trellis down first - most awkward and not to be recommended!! I then attached quilled roses and leaves.
The snail and wording are from Joanna Sheen's "Violet"  meadow flowers set  of stamps and the girl is from the S.W.A.L.K. "Old Friend" set by Crafter's Companion. Promarker pens were used in the colouring. I used Glossy accents to simulate the water from the can. Finally I added butterflies cut from shimmering paper and mounted onto card.

Hole in One

This stamp, coloured with Promarkers, is "Playing Golf" from Lili of the Valley. It was die cut using Spellbinders petite scalloped cicles, the edges inked with tea dye distress ink and mounted onto brown mirri card cut with the same die. The backing papers (from My Craft Studio and Crafter's Companion CD Roms) were layered onto green mirri card as also were the tags.

Keeping Watch

Still on the gardening theme, I used various stamps from the Crafter's Companions UK Adorables Summer Collections and employed multiple layers of masking. I used Promarkers to colour the resulting image and mounted it onto dark brown mirri card die cut using Spellbinders. The backing was taken from the neutral core'dinations card stock and embossed using the Pastorale folder from Couture Creations. The edges and panels were inked using walnut stain distress ink. The words were created from brown mirri card using Tattered Lace dies.

Best dad

A letter for Dad

This image reminds me of my father as he got older, sitting on a bench in the sun potting up plants.
I began by stamping the flower from Crafter's Companion UK Popcorn the Bear Father's Day set. This was then masked off and the main picture was then stamped and all coloured using Promarkers. The image was then die cut using a Spellbinders Postage Stamp die and the edges distressed with Tim Holtz Distress inks.
Core'dinations card stock from the Neutrals range was embossed using one of Crafter's Companion Beatrix Potter embossing folders and sanded. The mini envelopes were made from backing paper taken from Crafter's Companion Popcorn the Bear triple CD rom. Finally the words "Best" and "Dad" were stamped onto card and partially inserted into the envelopes.

Dawn chorus

Dawn Chorus

I love the House Mouse range. Here is another offering.
The image was stamped using a stamp from one of Joanna Sheen's Feathered Fiends set, coloured using Promarkers and decoupaged with characters from a second image. It was then double mounted onto core'dinations card stock. The backing paper was printed from Joannna Sheen's House Mouse Inserts CD Rom. The card was finished with peel offs and corners from Spellbinders Floral Doily Accent set.

Make music

Make Music

The background of this card was made by embossing mustard core'dinations card stock using the Adagio embossing folder from Couture Creations and distressing it with tea dye Distress Ink. This was then mounted onto dark brown mirri card and attached to a white 5x7 card base. The topper was stamped using the House Mouse stamp Mice Symphony and coloured using Promarkers. A second one was stamped and the mice coloured and cut out to use as decoupage. This was then mounted onto dark brown mirri card and then white core'dinations and attached to the card with foam pads. An additional mouse was stamped and coloured using a stamp from Joanna Sheen's Feathered Friends set and fixed to the left of the main topper. Finally a 'Happy Birthday' peel off was added under one of the lines of music.
