Clowning about

The theme for this week's challenge at Eureka Stamps is 'red, white and blue'. The papers I used were from the Wild Rose Studio paper stack called 'For Men' and I matted both onto red mirri card before attaching to the base white card.
The Eureka digi stamp number 24904 is called 'clown on one hand'. I coloured it using Promarkers and cut it out using a Spellbinders postage stamp die. While still in the die I brushed the edges with distress ink. I then matted it onto red core'dinations cardstock which I had cut out using the same die, offsetting it slightly.
I coloured three card candi using a Promarker pen and attached these to the left hand side of the card. The sentiment was made from peel off letters which I had coloured using a permanent pen.

Noel

One more addition to my cards in readiness for Christmas. I matted the deep red snowflake design paper onto white card and outlined it with gold peel off. I then cut the letters from another piece of design paper and glued them to the left hand side of the card, afterwhich I added some glitter to the letters. I have had the papers in my stash for some time but I believe I printed them using a CD ROM from Debbi Moore Designs.
The cute litle fairy from Make It Crafty is called Fairy Twinkles. I coloured her using Promarkers, cut her out and added glitter to the wings, before shaping slightly and attaching her to the card using glue gel.
Finally I used the Tattered Lace die Florentine bells to create the gold mirri card bells. I tied narrow ribbon through the top of them, made a bow and glued it to the centre of the card.

Flying in wishes

For this weeks challenge at Eureka Stamps we want you to use paper piecing.
I used paper printed from a La Pashe CD ROM for the sky and paper printed from Peerless Designs' CD ROM Woodland Treasures for the hill in my scene and matted and layered them onto mirri card and then white card.
As summer is almost upon us I decided on a summer activity and used the digi stamp number 5704 (hot air balloon) from Eureka stamps and paper pieced this with odd scraps from my stash (One piece printed from a House Mouse Designs CD ROM and the other printed from a La Pashe CD ROM). I shaped the balloon slightly before fixing it with glue gel to the card. I coloured the smaller balloon using Promarkers.
I matted the greeting onto mirri card and attached it to thecard using foam pads.

Adventurer

This week the theme for the Crafty Cardmakers and More challenge is 'for a man or boy' and have made a birthday card for the husband of one of my nieces. I have chosen to use part of a digi image from Make It Crafty called 'Family-adventure-boy'. I coloured it using Promarkers and distress inks and matted it onto brown core'dinations cardstock.
The yellow design paper is from a paper pack which came from an old magazine and this I matted and layered onto brown core'dinations cardstock and white card. I attached a different strip of paper from the same pack to the lower part of the card and bordered it with gold waste peel off.
From this latter paper I cut the sentiment using Tattered Lace dies and glued them to brown cardstock. I then outlined these using gold peel offs and attached them to the card using foam pads. Lastly I coloured some card candi and glued these to the bottom right hand corner of the card.

For the girls

It's the first Saturday in the month and that means a new challenge at Send A Smile 4 Kids. The theme this time is for the girls and as always we have three genrous sponsors: The Paper Shelter (3 digis of the winners choice), Flat Friends Boutique (6 digis of the winners choice) and Bugaboo (7 digis)

My first card uses an image from The Paper Shelter called Sophie in the garden. I coloured her using Promarkers and then fussy cut her out. The paper on the card was printed using the CD ROM Flopsy and Friends from My Craft Studio and I wrapped ribbon round one side before attaching it to the base card. I then added a bow to it. After fixing the image to the card I attached a die cut over it. This had been cut using the small panarama grass die from Tattered Lace and coloured using Promarkers. The sentiment was stamped using a Crafter's Companion stamp from the Bebunni floral collection. I matted it onto green card before attaching it to the card.

My second card uses a digi stamp from Flat Friends Boutique called walkies. Again I coloured it using Promarkers. Having cut out the surrounding square I used distress inks to colour the background and then matted and layered it onto core'dinations cardstock and white card. Using a Tattered Lace die I cut the floral arch and coloured it using Promarkers before gluing it to the card. I then added Liquid Pearls to the flower centres. I also added three silver dots to the dog's leash using a gel pen.

I would like to enter these into the following challenges:

Building with dad

The theme for the new challenge starting today at Creative Corner is 'Just for Dad'.
I while ago I printed some brickwork paper but the printer was low on inks and so it printed the bricks with a very pink hue. Rather than throw the paper away I dusted it with pumice stone distress ink and used it as the background for this card, matting and layering it onto black and then white card.
The digi image I used is from Make It Crafty and is called building blocks with dad. I coloured it using Promarkers, dusted the edges using distress inks and matted it onto black card.
The sentiment was cut from core'dinations cardstock using Tattered Lace dies.

I would like to enter this into the following challenges:
Clear It Out - anything goes
The Pink Elephant - masculine birthday
Sweet Stampin - father's day or a special man

A stitch in time

We have another challenge beginning at Crafty Cardmakers and More today, the theme of which is stitching - real or faux.
I used design paper from Aspire Crafts which had faux stitching on it and matted it onto core'dinations cardstock and white card. I took another piece of the cardstock and embossed it using Sheena Douglas' floral fabric folder, distressed it by sanding and attached it to the top of the card.
The image is from the Mice and Crafty set of House Mouse Design stamps from Joanna Sheen. I coloured it using Promarkers adding some faux stitching to the boot being sewn and matted it onto a darker piece of core'dinations cardstock before fixing it to the card using foam pads.
I attached a greetings tag to the bottom left of the card and a bow made from two ribbons to the bottom right of the image.

Happy birthday

It's Monday and the start of another challenge at Eureka Stamps. The theme for this weeks challenge is special occasions. My special occasion is a birthday and I have used Digi nimber 12701 (Dog with presents) which I coloured using Promarkers.
I cut two rectangles of core'dinations cardstock to match the colours of the ribbon in the image and embossed them using the Die'sire folder Happy Birthday from Crafter's Companion. I then distressed them by sanding. I wrapped satin ribbon round the join of the two colours and matted the cardstock onto cream card. I cut the image out using a Tattered Lace essentials oval die and matted it onto yellow card, matching the stars in the wrapping paper in the image. Finally I added a bow.
