Acorn wood

   A birthday card made for one of my great nephews using several stamps from Hunkydory's Acorn Wood collection and Brush Markers. The design was matted and layered onto blue and white cards and then framed with pink card.

Red string

   This digi coloured using Promarkers is call Red String and is from Star Stampz. After cutting it out using a Tattered Lace pearl rectangle die and before removing it from the die I brushed Distress Ink over the background. I cut the sentiment several times and layered it up to create depth. The hearts paper around  which I wrapped narrow ribbon from my stash is matted and layered onto deep pink and then cream card and has also been in my stash for sometime. Finally I added red Liquid Pearl to the heart above the cat and two groups of three cream Liquid Pearl dots to the background.

Sparrow

   The sentiment here was cut using a Tatttered Lace die and the other pieces which are decoupaged were cut using the sparrow Samantha Neville die and accompanying card pad.

Honeysuckle

   I have been lucky enough to have been asked to to a guest designer for this challenge,

which is being sponsored by

   I used the honeysuckle die from Tattered Lace's Bohemian Garden collection along with the accompanying CD ROM to make this decoupaged flower. The background paper was printed using the same CD ROM. The ovals were cut using Tattered Lace's velvet lace mini ruffle oval dies and the sentiment cut using another one of their dies. The card was finished with the addition of a couple of pearls and ribbon.

   A quick card made using Samantha Neville's Bird Song paper kit and dies with the addition of coloured card and a sentiment cut using a Tattered Lace die.

Sugar roses

   The theme for this fortnight's Crafty Cardmakers challenge is anything but a card.

   I have tried something new and made a cake decoration using sugar paste.

Saxaphonist

   Spent the afternoon colouring (using Promarkers) this little chap, the saxaphonist from The Paper Shelter. The background paper is from a very old DCWV paper stack. The notes with the sentiment were snippets from a Tattered Lace die cut.

Bluebells

   The bluebells are beginning to bloom in my garden which reminded me that I had a Tattered Lace die of these flowers from their Bohemian Garden collection. The background paper and the charisma for the die was printed from the accompaning CD ROM. I attached two of the decoupaged bluebells to card cut using a Tattered Lace pearl square die, added a bow, a gem stone in each of the corners and a sentiment also cut using a Tattered Lace die.

Easter card

   This is an Easter card I made using an old Tattered Lace die called ornate cross, layering it twice to give a little depth and a new Carnation Crafts die called gentle light using the accompanying downloaded vingette with this. I then cut a third ornate cross in a beige colour, cut out the central plain cross and attached it to the large one. The sentiment was created by using white peel off letters which I coloured using a permanant marker.

Easter bunny

   The theme for this fortnight's Crafty Cardmakers challenge is Easter.
   Using Hunkydory's Little Book of Spring Days and Country Life I decoupaged the design using several pages of the same image and matted it onto orange card. The background is yellow card matted onto white and a border created using off cuts from other projects. The sentiment was cut from pink and green card scraps using a Tattered lace die.

Sitting pretty

Lilac

   This month the Send A Smile For Kids challenge would like you to make a card for mum (from the kids) or anything goes for kids.
   I have used the lilac stamp from Joanna Sheen's Garden Flowers collection and coloured it using Promarkers. After matting and layering it onto mauve and white card I added a bow to the lilac stems. The sentiment was also matted onto mauve card and to this I glued a tiny pearl in each of the corners.
