Yellow roses

   For this weeks QKR Stampede challenge, the theme of which as is the usual anything goes, I have used the digi called roses and generated the sentiment using the computer.
   I coloured the image using Promarkers and dusted the edges using Distress Ink. The design was then matted and layered onto yellow mirri and white card.

Roasting marshmallows

   Friday and a fresh challenge at QKR Stampede.
   Perhaps not quite the season for toasting marshmallows round a fire but I have been attracted to this image called roasting marshmallows for sometime and I could no longer resist using it! I coloured it using Promarkers but paper pieced the fire. After cutting it out using a Tattered Lace pearl rectangle die and while still in the die i coloured the background using Distress Inks. Once removed from the die I coloured the 'pearls' using a black Promarker pen.
   The matchstick paper was printed using a House Mouse CD ROM and the fire paper was printed using La Pashe's Something For Everyone CD ROM.

Rocking grandfather

   The image from Digi Stamps 4 Joy called Gramps was coloured using Promarkers and matted onto black card.  The sentiment is from a pad produced by Creative World of Crafts. The circle stepper was cut using  Tattered Lace die and the mats were cut from rainbow mirri card and black card.

Punch and Judy

   I have a friend who performs Punch and Judy shows during the summer holidays. This is a  birthday card that I have made for him. The figures are removable, slotting between the booth and the black backdrop, so that different arrangements can be made. They are based on drawings I found on www.punchandjudyonline.com. The figures were coloured using Promarkers but the booth was coloured and designed using the Windows computer program Paint.

Noel

   The theme for this fortnight's challenge at Crafty Cardmakers is wet or dry embossing. I have gone with dry embossing using Sheena Douglass' festive embossing folder and colouring it using Promarkers.
   I began by applying glitter to the edges of green card and then matted the embossed design onto it. I then applied glitter randomly to the holly leaves and berries. The sentiment was cut from coloured card using Tattered Laces' ornamental Noel die.

Orange flowers

   This week the challenge at Crafting From the Heart is just for fun.
   I stamped the flowers from Sheena Douglass' A little Bit Sketchy Humming Bird stamp set several times and fussy cut them to decoupage the flowers, colouring them using Promarkers. The sentiment was cut using the Tattered Lace ornamental best wishes die and again coloured using Promarkers. I added faux stitching to make the border of my design.

Eighteenth birthday

   The theme for this fortnight's challenge at Send A Smile 4 Kids is anything goes with the twist for teens. This image which I decoupaged is taken from Hunkydory's  Square Little Book of Milestone Birthdays. I matted and layered it onto silver mirri, dark blue card and white card.

Old car

    Another challenge starts today at QKR Stampede and I thought that I would try a new technique - stencilling.
    The stencil from Sheena Douglass  was used to create the background to the digi image (called old car). I used Distress Inks for this and Promarkers for the digi. The sentiment was cut from both white and black card using a Tattered Lace ornamental best wishes die.

Cliff erosion

   I am glad to have been asked to be a guest designer for the Digi Stamps 4 You challenge this month. The theme is anything goes with the twist For the man in your life.
   I have used the digi called 'cliff erosion' and coloured it using Promarkers. The clouds and sea papers were printed using the My Craft Studio 'Everyday Men's' CD ROM. I matted and layered it onto black and then white card and outlined it with strips of silver mirri.

Flower blossom

   Another QKR Stampede challenge begins today.
   I have used the digi called flower blossom, colouring it using Promarkers and adding Stickles to the flower centre. I added faux stitching to the edges and a best wishes sentiment, to which I added glitter, cut using a Tattered Lace die.

Mowing the lawn

   I have used the digi Guy mowing the lawn and coloured it using Promarkers and Distress inks. I then matted and layered it onto black card, paper printed using the CD ROM Paws For Thought Volume 2, black card and finally white card. The layers were cut using notched square dies from Tattered Lace. I then added card candi and a peel off sentiment.

Foiled fairy

   This month the Dragonfly Dreams challenge is just for fun. Looking through my stash I came across some foiled sheets to make decoupage fairies which I purchased nine years ago (!!) so I decided it was about time I used one.
   I attached gold mirri behind an aperture in an embossed card and then stuck the decoupaged fairy onto it and added dots of gold Liquid Pearls around the aperture. Using Tattered Lace all occasion sentiment dies I cut a sentiment from gold mirri. I then added a little white butterfly snipped from another tattered Lace die cut.

Just thinking

   The first Saturday in June so that means the start of another challenge at Send A Smile 4 Kids. The theme is the nice easy one of anything goes.
   My image was printed using the Diasy and Friends CD ROM and I coloured it using Promarkers and Distress ink. The background paper is from my stash and I believe it came from a magazine I bought several years ago. I added a little glitter to the trouser belt and hairband, some pearl flourishes and a peel off sentiment.

BBQ

   Summer is around the corner so I decided to use this digi called BBQ grilling on my  DT card for this week's QKR Stampede challenge which as usual has an anything goes theme.
   The background paper from a DCWV paper stack was matted and layered onto brown card and then white. The image was coloured using Promarkers and cut out using a Tattered Lace die. I also used a Tattered Lace die to cut the sentiment and both were matted onto brown card.
