Lunch

This easel card was made using one of the decoupage House Mouse sheets from Joanna Sheen.
I matted brown core'dinations cardstock on both the front and base of the easel card, having wrapped ribbon round the lower edge of the former. I matted the decoupaged piece onto cream core'dinations cardstock before fixing to the card and then finished the front by attaching a bow to the ribbon.

The stop for the easel was made from die cuts.  Using light blue card I cut the basket using the Tattered Lace die 'basket full of goodness' and backed it with dark blue card. I then cut five ovals from core'dination cardstock using a die. I embossed them using the Emma folder from Tattered Lace's trio set. Having trimmed them a little I shaded the edges using distress ink. I then slightly curved the basket and glued it using gel to the base and after  shaping the 'nuts' I positioned them in the basket also fixing them using glue gel.
I matted the sentiment onto core'dinations cardstock and attached this to the corner of the base.

I would like to enter this into the following challenges:

Get well soon

This poorly teddy is a digi stamp from Dragons Lair Designs. I coloured it using Promarkers and matted it onto dark brown core'dinations cardstock.
The design paper was printed using a Crafter's Companion CD ROM. I matted it onto pink core'dinations cardstock and before matting it onto white card I wrapped washi tape round it twice to simulate the wrapping round of a bandage. The words were die cut from the brown core'dinations cardstock using Tattered Lace dies and stuck to the pink cardstock before gluing to the card.

Flower beauty

I had printed the design paper months ago because I liked it but had never found a use for it until now. I matted and layered it onto blue-grey core'dinations cardstock and white card.
I coloured this image called wild flower beauty from Sami Stamps using Spectrum Noir pens and cut it out using a Tattered Lace oval die. I then matted it onto an oval of the core'dinations cardstock. The flowers were die cut and embossed using Tattered Laces Emma trio set of dies and folder and having coloured them I shaped them and attached them to the rim of the oval frame. I added a bow made from narrow satin ribbon to the base of the frame and then glued 6mm pearls to the flower centres and 3mm and 1.5 mm pearls (very fiddly) to either side of the spray. Finally I attached a happy birthday peel off sentiment and two tiny bows to the opposite side of the frame.

My card today celebrates a graduation. I matted the typed letters paper onto turquoise mirri and attached it to the champayne bottles paper. I then wrapped satin ribbon round this before matting and layering onto turquoise mirri and then white card.
I coloured the Lacy Sunshine digi image called Rory's diploma using Promarkers and matted it onto red mirri card before attaching it to the card. I then added a bow to the ribbon and a Tattered Lace die cut sentiment.

Our theme for this week's challenge at Eureka Stamps is 'for the boys'. I chose to use this fun froggy digi from Eureka Stamps called 'Frog on side' (number 24709) and coloured him using Promarkers. The sentiment is digi number 20204 (Have a great day). I matted both onto green card before fixing to the background which was printed using a My Craft Studio CD ROM and matted and layered onto green and then white card. To finish the card I attached three card candi - well you cannot have bows on a male card!

Bath time

I love the House Mice and I haven't used their images for a while, so I thought I'd dust them down and use one.
I matted paper from the Forever Friends 'For you' paper pack onto core'dinations cardstock and white card. Taking a paler core'dinations cardstock I embossed it using the Bubbles folder from the Scruffy Little Cat collection from Crafter's Companion. I then rubbed distress ink over it to highlight the bubbles.
The image is from the Feathered Friends House Mouse Design set of stamps from Joanna Sheen. I coloured it using Promarkers and matted it onto core'dinations cardstock before attaching it to the card using foam pads.
The sentiment was cut from core'dinations cardstock using Tattered Lace dies and using waste to make the ! mark. I glued it onto white card and matted it onto the paler core'dinations cardstock.

I would like to enter this into the following challenges:
Dream Valley - things with wings

Daisy enchantress

I began this card by matting and layering paper from the peach blossom paper pack from Wild Rose Studio and core'dinations cardstock onto cream card. The digi image is Prism Ethereal Enchantress from Lacy Sunshine and I coloured her using a mixture of Promarkers (for hair and skin) and Spectrum Noir pens. I cut it out using a Spellbinders classic oval die and mattered it onto core'dinations cardstock which had been cut out using a Spellbinders classic scalloped oval die.
Using the small die from Tattered Lace's Helen set of dies I cut two flowers and after embossing them using the folder from the same set I coloured them using Spectrum Noir pens, shaped them and glued one on top of the other. Using the medium die from Tattered Lace's Sophie set of dies I cut three leaves and after embossing them using the folder from the same set coloured them using Promarkers and then shaped them. I made a triple bow from organza ribbon and then glued the arrangement to the card.

Hydrangea

We have the start of a new challenge at Crafty Cardmakers and More today, the theme of which is shaped cards.
Using Tattered Lace decorative circle dies I cut the basic card shape, purple core'dinations cardstock and the spotty paper printed using  the Tattered Lace Charisma Hydrangea CD ROM and matted and layered them.
The pieces for the flower were also printed using the same CD ROM and then cut out using the Tattered Lace Charisma Hydrangea dies. I then decoupaged the pieces and attached the flower to the card. I made a bow using two different coloured narrow satin ribbon and attached this to the base of the flower.
The sentiment was cut from core'dinations cardstock using Tattered Lace All Occasions Sentiment dies.

I would like to enter this into the following challenges:

Shake, shake, shake

We start a new challenge at Eureka Stamps today and we want you to make a shaker card.
I have used Eureka Stamps digi numbers 16403 (Caroling bunnies) and 16904 (Let it snow) to make this shaker Christmas card.
I created the falling snow paper using a graphics package and matted and layered it onto blue mirri and the white card. I coloured the bunnies using Promarkers and the cut them out and attached them to the card using foam pads. I then added some polar white Flower Soft to the base.
I cut a square of acetate and a similar size square of mirri card, formed an aperture in the mirri card by using the waste after using a Spellbinders leafy square die and stuck the two together. Using foam tape I attached this to the card having sandwiched some sequins between the two.
I matted the sentiment onto mirri card and attached this to the card.

Our theme for this challenge is anything goes 4 kids and again we are being sponsored by three generous sponsors: Doodle Pantry ($10 gift certificae), DRS Designs ($10 gift certificate) and Kitchen Sink Stamps ($25 gift certificate).

My first card uses digital elements from Doodle Panty's Ant Masquerade. I wrapped some wide spotted ribbon round the ladybird paper and mattered and layered it onto black and then white card. I coloured the image using Promarkers and then dusted three of the edges with distress ink before matting it onto black card. I added some glitter to the wings of the bee. The sentiment I matted onto red card before fixing it to the card using foam pads.

For my second card I matted blue card onto black card and then wrapped washi tape round it before matting the whole onto white card. The digi image from DRS Designs is called Jimbo and the gang and I coloured it using Promakers. I matted it onto black card before fixing it to the card. I then attached some leaves die cut from core'dinations cardstock to the image using glue gel. The letters were cut from black card using Tattered Lace dies and arranged to form the greeting.

Daisies for you

Our theme for this weeks challenge at Creative Corner is 'spring is in the air'. Here daisies are beginning to show in the lawn so I decided to use them as the subject of my card.
I began by using part of a Tattered Lace spring lace die to create a border to a square piece of white card. I printed paper from Tattered Lace's Charisma Daisy CD ROM and wrapped yellow organza ribbon round it. I mattered and layered this onto the die cut white card, then yellow card and finally the white card base and added pale green card candi to the corners.
I printed the daisy decoupage from the same CD ROM and then used the Charisma Daisy Tattered Lace dies to cut it out. I cut into some of the petals before I decoupaged the pieces. I then added a bow and a peel off sentiment which I coloured using pemanent pens.

I would like to enter this into the following challenges:
Ooh La La Creations - use a pre-coloured image

Well it's Monday again and we have another challenge for you at Eureka Stamps. The theme this time is May flowers. The digi image I have used is number 58201 (tulip and pansy frame) and I have coloured it using Promarkers.
I matted deep purple core'dinations cardstock onto white card and then attached the image to this. I coloured outline peel offs using permanent pens and fixed an inner purple edging and an outer green edging round the image.
Using a Tonic Pick of the Bunch punch and stamp set I made two pansies, colouring them using Promarkers. I attached them to the bottom of the card using glue gel. I then finished the card with a white peel off greeting.

I would like to enter this into the following challenges:

Dotty birthday

Using a Spellbinders classic triple scallop die I cut two strips of dotty paper and fixed them vertically onto square pattern paper. This I then matted and layered onto embossed paper and white card. I then attached card candi to each of the four corners of the card.
The digi image called Zoe's Love is from Lacy Sunshine. I coloured it using Promarkers, cut it out and attached it to centura pearl card using glue gel. I then matted it onto embossed paper before attaching it to the card.
I arranged three paper flowers, to which I attached buttons for the centres, and a bow to the lower left hand corner of the image.
Using a Spellbinders circle die I cut out the sentiment, matted it onto embossed paper and then card and attached this to the top right hand corner of the image. I then added two mini gems to this and a bow under it.

Daisies

The challenge at Crafty Cardmakers and More this time is to make your own background. To create my background I used free stamps from a Practical Publishing magazine. I stamp them randomly over a rectangular piece of card and then masking the larger flowers I dusted the background using green and yellow distress inks. I coloured the centre of the flowers and shaded the petals using Promarkers. I then wrapped a green organza ribbon round this before matting it onto white card.
The main image is stamped using another freebie from a magazine and features the Somebunny to Love character. Again I coloured it using Promarkers. After cutting it out using a Spellbinders oval die and fixing it to the card I outlined it with outline peel offs which I had coloured using Promarkers. Finally I added a Colour Me Crazy flower and added a card candi to its centre.

I would like to enter this into the following challenges:

Humming bird

The challenge this week at Eureka Stamps is to make a feminine card. I have used the Eureka digi stamp number 56401 (humming bird birthday) and coloured it using Promarkers and adding glitter to the wings of the bird.
I matted green card onto pink centura pearl card and at the bottom wrapped pink organza ribbon round them. On top of this ribbon I wrapped green spotted ribbon and then matted the whole onto white card. After attaching the image I added two organza ribbons to the card.

For a special male

It's the first Saturday in the month and that can only mean the start of another challenge at Send A Smile 4 Kids. The theme for this challenge is for a dad or special male and again we have three generous sponsors: Crafty Sentiments Designs (3 digis of winners choice), Dollar Graphics Depot ($15 gift cerftificate) and Inspired by Stamping ($20 gift certificate).

For my first card I matted some paper which reminded me of coloured wood panelling onto white card. Using a Spellbinders small classic square die I cut four squares from the 'screw' paper which I had printed using My Craft Studio Limited Edition Everyday Men's CD ROM. I matted each of these onto grey core'dinations cardstock which I had cut out using a Spellbinders large classic square die. I then arranged these symmetrically on the card.
The coloured image is one  in the daddy's little helper collection from Dollar Graphics Depot and I cut this out using a Spellbinders small label die. I matted this onto navy embossed card which I had cut out using a Spellbinders large label die and fixed it centrally on the card.
I matted the sentiment onto grey core'dinations cardstock and glued a screw which I had cut out of the design paper onto each end of the banner before attaching it to the card.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:
Cute Card Thursday - use a sentiment
Craft Your Passion - anything goes
Buckwell's Crafty - spots or stripes or both
   Inspiration Destination - anything goes
Crafting From The Heart - anything goes
Craftyhazelnut's Patterned Paper - anything goes
Crafty Gals Corner - stripes and/or polka dots

For my second card I matted and layered paper printed from Ooh La La Creations Boys to Men CD ROM onto turquoise card and then white card. I found a strip in my stash that toned in with this paper so I attached this to the left hand side of the card.
The digi image is from Crafty Sentiments Designs and is called Patches done fishing. I coloured it using Promarkers and matted it onto the turquoise card before attaching it to the card. Finally I added a vertical happy birthday peel off to the left hand strip.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:
   Brown Sugar - anything goes
4 Crafty Chicks - anything goes
The Cutie Pie - all about the boys
Addicted to Stamps and More - make your mark
Word Art Wednesday - anything goes

Mum's flowers

We have another challenge starting at Creative Corner today, the theme being 'just for mum'.
I used the Bugaboo digi 'Mom flower trio' to create my card. Below is my coloured version of the digi:

As soon as I saw the image I wanted to try to create a bordered shape using it. Forming this border was the most tricky part of making the card.
I repeated the digi three times across the bottom and top of a piece of white square card. I then selected half of the digi (leaving off the words) and repeated that part four times down the two sides of the card. Selecting one of the flowers I increased the size and placed it in the centre of the bordered square that I had formed.
I coloured all the images using Promarkers and then matted and layered the design onto orange mirri card and white card. I then added a spotted orange bow to the central image.

I would like to enter this into the following challenges:
ABC - I is for inspire us
Lil Patch of Crafty Friends - anything goes
QKR Stampede - Mother's day cards
   Addicted To Stamps - flowers
Addicted to Stamps and More - make your mark
